NAWST Adopts Army Unit

Members of the NAWST decided to adopt a military unit in Iraq as a way showing our support for our troops. The society "adopted" the 214th Fires Brigade --C. Det 1, 2-4 FAR MLRS. (Multiple Launching Rocket Systems) which is part of the United States Army 2nd Battalion.

Eagle Mountain Intertribal Powwow, Springtown, Texas
Topic: Ceremonial Events
September, 2006 --- The Native American Warrior Society of Texas participates in the annual Eagle Mountain InterTribal Powwow held in Springtown, Texas at Four Winds Park. The NAWST provided Color Guard services as well as providing a Fallen Soldier Ceremony in memory of those people who served their country with honor, and who are no longer with us.

Memorial Day 2006
Topic: Ceremonial Events
On Memorial Day, 2006, members of the Native American Warrior Society of Texas particpated in activities honoring our fallen comrades at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Arlington, Texas. Eugene Folsom served as Master of Ceremonies.
