About

The Native American Warrior Society of Texas was formed by a group of Native American (American Indian) veterans in Texas in 2006 to remember, honor and support our Veterans and our culture. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization registered with the State of Texas and recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service.

Our organization: Our officers:
  • Dick Green, Elder
  • Andrew Ochoa, Headsman
  • Richard Lundy, Headsman
  • Eugene Folsom, Headsman
  • ~vacant~, Headsman
  • Calvin Pidgeon, Administrative Officer
Activities

During our first year we have provided Color Guard duties for several Powwows as ceremonial events at Veterans memorials in National Cemeteries. A children's powwow was held in December of 2006 and is hoped to be an annual event. In addition to providing Color Guard services, the Society is often requested to provide the "Fallen Soldier Ceremony" in honor of those who have given their all for their country and community.

Please note that our organization is not an has not ever been associated with the "Native American Warrior Society," the "Native American Warriors Society" or the Native American Veterans Society." We are the "Native American Warrior Society of Texas," an independent organization.
